INES VANSTEENKISTE-MUYLLE
Ines Vansteenkiste-Muylle (b. 1997, Leuven) is an Amsterdam-based Belgian photographer and director known for imagery that highlights both human strength and fragility. Her clients include Nike, Adidas, Vogue, Zalando, JBL, Levi’s, Tommy Jeans, Brussels Airlines, Philips, NBC, De Volkskrant, De Morgen, and more.
A 2019 graduate of Luca School of Arts Brussels, she won De Morgen’s Graduation Contest in 2018 and was shortlisted for the 2019 Unseen Dummy Award for “Grits/Grids and Conversations,” a project exploring race, privilege, and family history in the U.S.
Ines merges fashion with socially engaged storytelling, driven by curiosity and connection. Her 2021 directing debut explored love through the lens of a non-binary protagonist and won an award in London, screening in Amsterdam and Milan. Her work for De Volkskrant in Curaçao and Suriname deepened her interest in colonial histories and inspired her short film Fruit of Our Labour with designer Marc Martha. Across her recent projects, community and human interest remains the central theme.
